New Delhi: India Coronavirus: Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said today that Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP, Bihar and West Bengal have 80% active cases of corona virus and 81% deaths in the country’s states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana. Currently, the death rate of corona virus in the country is 1.99%. PM Modi has said that the goal is to reduce the death rate by 1%.
Bhushan said that PM Narendra Modi has said that contentment, surveillance and contact tracing are effective weapons in the fight against Corona. The close contact, tracing and examination of the new positive case should be done in 72 hours. All three things can be done. The PM also mentioned Delhi and surrounding areas where the recovery was reduced. Active cases were reduced and excellent management was done here. The PM said that there is a need to increase testing in Bihar, Gujarat, UP, Bengal and Telangana.
Rajesh Bhushan said that the Central Government has formed the National Expert Group. It is meeting tomorrow. This expert group will discuss with the states on the selection, priority and all the issues of the portable vaccine. If the positivity rate is high then states need to do more testing.
