Raipur, May 5, 2026 / State Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai's visit to the remote forest village of Kamarkhol on May 4th brought a message of relief and confidence to the people. In a Chaupal organized under a mango tree as part of the Good Governance Festival 2026, Chief Minister Shri Sai directly interacted with the villagers, listened to their problems attentively, and directed them to ensure on-the-spot solutions. This scene became a living example of the strong bond of trust between the government and the public. *Trustworthy Solution to Electricity Bill Concerns* During the Chaupal, when a villager expressed his concern about rising electricity bills and outstanding dues, the Chief Minister reassured him, saying, "There is no need to worry; your government is with you." He said that our government's Electricity Bill Payment Settlement Scheme has been implemented with the aim of providing relief to economically weaker families, under which extensive discounts are being provided on old outstanding bills. Along with domestic consumers, agricultural pump holders are also benefiting from the scheme, while special concessions have been provided for BPL families. *Sensitivity seen on the ground, instructions on the spot* Chief Minister Shri Sai's working style was not limited to mere assurances. He immediately directed the Collector to organize special camps at the Gram Panchayat level, so that people in Kamrakhol and surrounding villages do not have to run around offices and can have their problems resolved in their own villages. During this, Collector Shri Gopal Verma informed that more than 13,000 consumers in the district have benefited from this scheme so far, and they have been provided rebates totaling over ₹11.75 crore. *Kamarkhol becomes a living example of good governance* This Chaupal in Kamrakhol made it clear that when the government leadership communicates directly with the public, even complex problems become easier to solve. This initiative by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai is proof that good governance is not limited to the creation of schemes, but rather a commitment to easily deliver them to the last person.
