In Ranishwar block, Dumka, a crucial workshop has been organized to commence the social audit of beneficiaries under centrally sponsored pension schemes. The event, presided over by Block Development Officer Rajesh Kumar Sinha, focused on ensuring transparency and accountability in the distribution of pensions. A dedicated district social audit team, comprising Ramjeevan Aadi and Jeevan Nandi, was present to guide the process. The social audit for beneficiaries under central government schemes in Ranishwar block is scheduled to take place from December 20, 2025, to December 30, 2025. Block Development Officer Sinha emphasized the importance of meticulously verifying the list of pension beneficiaries provided by the district. All Anganwadi workers have been instructed to complete the distribution of slips to beneficiaries in their respective villages within the stipulated timeframe. These slips will help in identifying eligible and ineligible beneficiaries, who will then be reported to their respective Panchayat Secretaries. This consolidated report will be crucial for the audit team. The social audit team members elaborated that all beneficiaries of centrally sponsored pension schemes must visit their Panchayat Bhawans on the designated dates with their Aadhar cards, voter ID cards, and mobile numbers for verification. Provisions have also been made for beneficiaries unable to attend in person, with verification to be conducted via VDO call or home visits. The workshop saw the participation of all Mukhiyas, Gram Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, volunteers, Gram Rozgar Sevaks, and Anganwadi workers, highlighting the collaborative effort to strengthen the pension program.
