Bokaro Steel Plant welcomes Priya Ranjan as its new Director-in-Charge, effective December 24, 2025. Ranjan’s appointment follows a recommendation by the Public Enterprises Selection Board on August 22, 2025. Prior to this promotion, he served as Executive Director (Works) at the plant. With over three decades of experience in SAIL, Ranjan brings a strong blend of technical acumen and managerial expertise. He holds a B.Tech in Metallurgy and a PG Diploma in Management. His career began in 1994 at ISCO Steel Plant, where he held various roles for nearly twenty-three years. In October 2017, he moved to SAIL’s corporate office in New Delhi, contributing to the Chairman’s Secretariat. Promoted to Executive Director on November 15, 2024, he was tasked with Executive Director (Operation). Following the PESB recommendation, he was transferred to Bokaro Steel Plant as Executive Director (Works) on August 26, 2025. As Director-in-Charge, Ranjan will now lead the operational, developmental, and strategic direction of Bokaro Steel Plant. His leadership is expected to propel the plant to new heights.
