Prime Minister Narendra Modi, known to be an avid social media user, has crossed 50 million followers on Twitter.
The 68-years-old leader often uses social media to share messages, and updates about his activities and whereabouts. Modi made his debut on the microblogging site in 2009 when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, and is currently the most-followed Indian on the platform.
He has tweeted 24.5K times, and follows 2,227 accounts.
