Medininagar, Palamu: A significant event focused on rural entrepreneurship and loan distribution was recently held at the Town Hall, organized by JSLPS (Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society). The program was inaugurated by Medininagar SDO Sulochana Meena, NDC Neeraj Kumar, and DPM Anita Karketta. District Program Manager Anita Karketta highlighted the core objective: to foster small-scale enterprises among rural women and facilitate access to bank loans. This financial year, over 14,000 new ventures have been initiated across the district. These range from grocery stores, tea and snack stalls, to bangles and accessory manufacturing, food product packaging (like namkeen, flattened rice, mustard oil, flour), and dairy production (paneer, milk, yogurt). The District Collector’s guidance has been instrumental in this growth. SDO Sulochana Meena encouraged ‘Sakhi Mandal’ members to innovate and strive for economic independence, urging them to create unique identities through their entrepreneurial efforts. The government is providing comprehensive support to these women. As a symbolic gesture, six women—Durgawati Devi, Sulekha Kumari, Manju Devi, Supriya Devi, Rani Begum, and Reena Devi—received individual loan sanction checks during the event.
