A significant legal reprieve has been granted to Godda Member of Parliament, Nishikant Dubey, by the High Court. In a crucial development, the court has quashed the First Information Report (FIR) registered against him. The FIR, bearing number 281/23, was filed at the Manoharpur police station in the Deoghar district. Following the registration of the case, Dubey approached the High Court to challenge the proceedings.
The matter was heard by a bench presided over by Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary. Senior advocates Ajit Kumar, Parth Jalan, and Smita Sinha represented MP Dubey during the proceedings. The case stemmed from allegations of assault against an alleged cattle smuggler. After thorough consideration, the High Court has now dismissed the case against the parliamentarian, offering him substantial relief from the legal proceedings.
