The body of CRPF jawan Sujit, who tragically lost his life while on duty at Nishat Karpura in Srinagar, arrived at his native Deviyapur village in Koderma on Friday, draped in the Indian flag and placed in a coffin. Upon the vehicle’s arrival at the village entrance, an immense crowd gathered to pay their respects. Thousands, including women, elders, and youths, flocked to witness the final journey of Sujit. His family was inconsolable, with relatives overcome with grief. Villagers fondly remembered Sujit as a calm individual with a deep-seated passion for serving the nation. The sight of his coffin brought tears to everyone’s eyes. A procession, with countless individuals carrying the coffin, moved through the village’s main street amidst chants of ‘Sujit Amar Rahe’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ echoing through the entire area. At the cremation ground in Dhobiya Deeh, security forces accorded him a full Guard of Honour, a solemn salute to his sacrifice. The massive turnout underscored that Sujit was not just a soldier but a source of pride for the entire region. His elder brother, Vikas Kumar Singh, also serves in the CRPF.
