A significant protest unfolded in London, outside the Bangladesh High Commission, as members of the Indian and Bangladeshi Hindu communities united to condemn the escalating violence against minorities in Bangladesh. The demonstrators voiced their outrage with powerful slogans and placards, emphasizing that ‘Hindus have a right to live’ and demanding an end to the ‘targeted, terrorized, and silenced’ persecution. Approximately 500 individuals participated in the peaceful demonstration, calling for justice for the minority Hindu population. A key demand included the immediate release of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who faces murder charges in Bangladesh. The protest highlighted fears that ‘baseless blasphemy accusations’ are being weaponized to harass Hindus, seize their properties, and incite violence, with reports of 258 communal attacks in 2025 alone. India has officially registered its grave concern over these incidents, urging an immediate halt to the hostilities targeting Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists, and noting over 2,900 documented violence incidents against minorities during the current interim government’s tenure.
