India is facing a heightened security threat as intelligence reports reveal a significant alliance between two major Pakistan-based terrorist organizations, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Sources indicate that top commanders from both groups convened a crucial meeting in Bahawalpur, Punjab, to strategize coordinated assaults on Indian soil.
Bahawalpur, a city previously targeted during ‘Operation Sindoor’ following the Pahalgam attacks, has once again emerged as a focal point for terror planning. Recent photographic evidence has surfaced, reportedly showing JeM leaders alongside LeT’s deputy chief, Saifullah Kasuri, during this pivotal gathering in Bahawalpur.
These images lend credence to intelligence assessments that LeT and JeM are actively coordinating their offensive operations. Furthermore, there are suggestions that this strategic meeting may have received backing from Pakistan’s military and its intelligence arm, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Adding to the growing concern, terror launch pads are reportedly being re-established in Rawalakot, within Pakistan-administered Kashmir. These facilities were previously dismantled during Indian military operations earlier this year. Last month, intelligence also pointed towards the JeM assembling a new suicide squad, aiming to perpetrate attacks within India, potentially in the aftermath of the Red Fort car bomb incident. The group is allegedly raising funds to finance these ambitious operations.
Terrorist entities in Pakistan are reportedly leveraging both traditional and digital channels for financial mobilization. Donations are allegedly being collected under the guise of support for Kashmir, with the suspected complicity of local authorities. Digital platforms, including a Pakistani payment app named SadaPay, are purportedly being used to funnel these funds, mirroring alleged past usage for financing attacks like the one at the Red Fort.
The convergence of LeT and JeM, coupled with the resurrection of terror infrastructure in Bahawalpur and Rawalakot, signals an escalating danger. Indian security agencies remain on high alert, vigilantly observing the movements and activities of these militant groups to preempt any potential strikes and safeguard national security.
