Farmers in Jamua are encouraged to sell their paddy at the government-declared Minimum Support Price (MSP). Local officials urged farmers not to sell their produce to middlemen at lower rates. The inauguration of a new paddy procurement center at Chunglo PACS saw Block Development Officer Amal Ji advising farmers on the benefits of selling through official channels. He highlighted that Grade 1 paddy would fetch ₹2389 per quintal, plus an ₹81 bonus, while common paddy would be priced at ₹2369 per quintal, also with an ₹81 bonus. Payments will be directly credited to farmers’ accounts. Farmers can create their IDs with assistance from the local revenue office or Pragyakendra. The establishment of these centers aims to ensure farmers receive fair prices for their yield. Jamua has seen the opening of seven procurement centers across various locations, including Bhandaro, Pobi, Pratappur, Chitradeeh, and Lataqi, on the same day. However, the inauguration at Dhurgadgi PACS was less formal.
