Meghalaya Police and the Border Security Force (BSF) have categorically denied reports suggesting that two individuals accused in the murder of Osman Hadi have crossed into India from Bangladesh. These claims, reportedly made by Bangladeshi authorities, indicated that Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh, the suspects in question, had fled across the Haluaghat border in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh district and were now located within Indian territory. Officials in Meghalaya have stated that there is no evidence to support these allegations and that border security measures remain robust. The denial aims to clarify the situation and prevent the spread of misinformation regarding cross-border criminal activity.
