Hazaribagh: District Magistrate Shashi Prakash Singh convened a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of various rural development schemes in the district. The meeting focused on critical initiatives like MGNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ambedkar Awas Yojana, Abua Awas Yojana, Birsa Coop Samvardhan Yojana, Doba construction, Anganwadi schemes, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, horticulture projects, PD generation, geo-tagging, Janman Yojana, and Panchayati Raj functions. Other key areas reviewed included ABPS, JSLPS initiatives such as new SHG formation, credit linkage, Mudra loans, livestock management, producer groups, DDU-GKY, and PMFME. The District Magistrate emphasized the need for increased progress in PD generation and directed Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Block Programme Officers (BPOs) to identify poor families for guaranteed employment under MGNREGA, ensuring significant human day generation. A strong focus was placed on the swift and complete execution of pending and older projects. Officials were also instructed to collaborate with the Animal Husbandry Department to sanction livestock schemes and collect data from beneficiaries in need through field surveys. The construction of toilets for PVTG communities under MGNREGA was also mandated. Furthermore, attention was directed towards the proper maintenance of nutrition gardens in schools and Anganwadi centers. All BPOs are to ensure the complete implementation of job card applications received through the ‘Government at Your Doorstep’ program and to survey and issue job cards to eligible individuals who haven’t yet received them. Pending projects under the Poto Ho Sports Development Scheme are to be expedited. BDOs will conduct regular inspections of Anganwadi centers within their jurisdictions, verifying both physical and online data. A detailed review of JSLPS schemes also took place, with instructions to present reports on banking-related issues and to address SHG insurance concerns promptly. The meeting concluded with directives on accelerating Aadhaar verification for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, enhancing activity in PD generation and vermicompost production, addressing material procurement, expediting older projects, and ensuring the effective implementation of Panchayati Raj services.
