Today there is a slight increase in the prices of gold. Last week, gold had closed at Rs 50,212 per 10 grams on Friday, which is open today at Rs 50,234 per 10 grams. That is, there is a slight increase of Rs 22 in gold.
However, in early trade itself, gold touched the day’s highest level of Rs 50,272 and also went to the lowest level of Rs 50,211. There are constant fluctuations in the price of gold.
Due to strong spot demand, speculators bought fresh deals as gold rose by Rs 76 to Rs 50,068 per 10 grams in futures trade on Friday. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of gold futures delivered in December rose by Rs 76, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 50,068 per 10 grams. It traded for 6,331 lots.
Market analysts said that buying of fresh positions by traders led to rise in gold prices. In New York, gold gained 0.22 percent to $ 1,865.66 an ounce.
