Departmental Secretary reviewed works by holding a meeting of senior officials, instructed to use new technical equipment, digitization and software for more efficiency and speed Raipur. May 21, 2026. Secretary of the Public Works Department, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Bansal, reviewed the departmental work by holding a meeting of senior officials today. In the meeting held at the PWD headquarters 'Nirman Bhavan' in Nava Raipur, he emphasized public interest and technical proficiency in the department's works. He instructed to ensure quality and speed in all construction works. He asked to use new technical equipment, digitization and software for more efficiency and speed. In the meeting, Departmental Secretary Mr. Bansal instructed to complete all tender processes with full transparency and within the stipulated time limit. He said that ensuring both quality and speed in construction works is the highest priority of the department. No negligence should be shown in these. He asked to pay special attention to public interest and technical proficiency along with regular and strict monitoring of construction works. In the meeting, Public Works Department officials informed that monitoring, mapping and project management of construction works are being made more effective through modern geo-informatics technology. They also informed the departmental secretary about work allocation under the tender process, billing process for construction works and payment system. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on ongoing construction works across the state, progress of tender process and preparations for upcoming projects. In the meeting, the Secretary of the Public Works Department took information about the work performance of officers and contractors, various technical processes and timely payment arrangements. He also inquired about the technical arrangements, quality control and working methods of contractors for construction works. Mr. Bansal also took information about the construction work of Kachana Railway Overbridge in Raipur.
