Sudden inspection by Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma Strict instructions to improve arrangements, 'Help Desk' to be set up for students Raipur, May 22, 2026/ The government is fully prepared to improve the standard of higher education in the state and to streamline arrangements before the upcoming academic session. In this connection, Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma made a surprise inspection of the Mopka Nipania College. While this step by the minister has created panic among negligent employees, the government's sensitivity towards student welfare has once again come to the fore. 'Zero Tolerance' policy will be adopted for negligence During the inspection, the college principal was found absent. Also, a significant shortage of staff attendance was observed; only 03 associate professors and a mere 02 office staff employees were present. Additionally, information regarding the college's financial accounts could not be made available on the spot, for which Minister Shri Verma expressed deep displeasure. He said that the government's clear message is that any kind of administrative laxity or indiscipline will not be tolerated in government institutions. Strict instructions on cleanliness and discipline Upon observing a lack of cleanliness in the college premises, Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma sternly reprimanded the officials and employees. He issued clear instructions that all educational and non-educational staff must be present in the college at the scheduled time. Along with this, the cleaning arrangements should be immediately rectified so that the students get a healthy and clean environment. Student facilities will be paramount before the new session: 'Help Desk' will be established The new academic session is about to begin soon, so the government's entire focus is on ensuring that new and old students do not face any problems. Instructions have been given to immediately establish a 'Help Desk' for the quick resolution of problems and guidance of students coming to the college. Along with this, in view of the upcoming session, he has strictly instructed to complete the arrangements for drinking water, seating, and all other essential student facilities within the stipulated time. Government vigilant towards the public and students This surprise inspection by the Higher Education Minister demonstrates a belief in working on the ground rather than just on paper claims.
