A shocking incident has come to light in Palamu’s Chhaterpur, where a woman was allegedly raped under the guise of seeking medical treatment for her child. The clinic operator, identified as Sanjay Kumar from Rabda, has been arrested by the police and sent to jail. The alleged crime took place in Hutukdag village within the Chhaterpur police station limits. The victim, who resides in Naudihabazar with her child while her husband is away, had taken her ailing child to Sanjay Kumar’s clinic for treatment. According to the police, Kumar falsely diagnosed the child with a cold and claimed to administer steam therapy. He then led the woman to an adjacent house, where the assault occurred. The victim reported that she was threatened after the incident but bravely filed a complaint at the Chhaterpur police station. Prompt action by the authorities led to Kumar’s swift apprehension and subsequent judicial custody.
