New Delhi, – Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and urged them to expeditiously resolve pending issues related to 70 lakh tribals and 58 lakh poor families of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Baghel told the Prime Minister that keeping in mind the interests of farmers in Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh government has procured paddy for the farmers at a price of Rs. 2500 per quintal. This has generated the extra paddy in the state. He urged the Prime Minister to give approval for taking the rice in central pool besides the requirement of the public system in view of the interests of the farmers. Regarding the plan to provide drinking water through the tap connection in every household of the state, the Chief Minister urged that for this, cent percent grant should be given to the Central Government. He said that in the same manner as efforts have been made at the national level for hundred percent electrification, efforts need to be made for the provision of drinking water in every home.
Referring to the recognition of forest rights during the meeting, the Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that there are many flaws in the proposed amendments in the Indian Forest Act, 1927, so that the interests of tribals residing in the forest areas have not been preserved and they emphasized the amendment. Are. Shri Baghel said that the Prime Minister Kisan Mahanti Nidhi Yojana has been started with the objective of benefiting the small and marginal farmers of the country by the Central Government. The beneficiaries of this scheme are not included in the rights of Scheduled Tribes and other traditional forest dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006, as well as the farmers who have received forest rights under this scheme. Referring to the Ujjwala scheme in the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the number of cylinders refilled under the scheme is less. He said that families coming below poverty line need kerosene as fuel for cooking. Therefore, in the interest of the state, kerosene quota should be increased from 1.15 lakh kg liters to 1.58 lakh kg liters. He said that the average annual refill percentage of gas connections released under Ujjwala scheme in the state is 1.7, which is extremely low. Therefore, supply of 5-kg gas cylinder should be supplied by all the companies in the state to ensure the use of LPG under the purchasing capacity of BPL family.
During the meeting, he requested that the amount of Rs 500 per tonne premium should be given at the place of 100 rupees per tonne in allocated mines for the government undertakings and the Chhattisgarh state should be given a share of the power produced.
