Bokaro Steel Plant is actively enhancing its safety protocols through a series of awareness programs, fostering a strong ‘Safety First’ culture across its operations. In line with this commitment, a dedicated gas safety awareness program was held on December 12, 2025, at the Human Resource Knowledge & Development Department’s Main Auditorium. This crucial event, organized with the support of the Safety Engineering Department and Energy Management Department, saw participation from 89 officials, employees, and contractual staff from various plant divisions. The program aimed to equip attendees with vital knowledge and reinforce safe practices concerning gas usage within the industrial environment. Assistant General Manager of the Safety Department, Sukdev Mahto, and Assistant General Manager of the Energy Management Department, Vineet Tirkey, were present to guide the proceedings. Mahto welcomed participants and emphasized the program’s significance, while Tirkey delivered a presentation detailing the importance of safe gas handling and usage in a steel plant setting, encouraging all to maximize their learning from the session.
