A pivotal meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, convened to discuss significant development plans for the revered Basukinath Temple. The primary focus of the deliberations was to enhance facilities for pilgrims and orchestrate the overall improvement of the temple complex. A top priority identified was the cleanliness of Shivganga, with directives issued for a comprehensive action plan and project report within a week. Officials stressed the critical importance of Shivganga as a central point of faith for devotees who bathe there, necessitating its regular and effective maintenance. Discussions also encompassed proposals for vibrant colored lighting along the route from Nandi Chowk to the temple, alongside plans to expand ‘Jalapan’ counters and identify suitable locations for temporary sanitation facilities. The district administration emphasized that providing a superior experience and a comfortable environment for devotees at Basukinath Temple is a key objective, requiring seamless coordination among all departments to ensure timely completion of development works. Various departmental heads and representatives from the Panda Dharmarakshini Sabha and Nagar Panchayat were present to contribute to the planning process.
