Portal not just for migrant workers
The ministry said that the portal is not just for migrant workers. The list includes self-employed tailors, electricians, field-technicians, sewing machine operators, courier delivery workers, nurses, accounts workers, manual cleaners and sales associates.
According to the data, there is a shortage of labor in states like Karnataka, Delhi, Haryana, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, as a large number of migrant workers migrated from here during the lockdown.
