There has been a slight decrease in corona cases in the country, but the death toll from Kovid is still frightening. The country is fighting a war against Corona, whose most important soldiers are our doctors and health workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with the doctors contributing to the ongoing fight against Kovid-19 and listened to their experiences.
PM Modi thanked the doctors and health workers for fighting against the unprecedented circumstances of the second wave of corona virus epidemic and said that the entire country will remain indebted to health workers. He also sought suggestions from doctors to make the fight with Corona more aggressive.
In this conversation through a video conferencing with doctors, PM Modi said that Kovid’s second wave has benefited from the strategy of vaccination of Kovid-19 by doctors with frontline workers. PM Modi held discussions with a group of doctors working at Covid Care Centers, in which doctors from all over the country including Jammu and Kashmir were present.
Talking to a group of doctors, Prime Minister Modi said that treatment of patients living in isolation at home should be SOP based. He said that it is necessary to extend telemedicine service to all districts of the country. He said that whether testing the Kovid or supplying medicine or developing a health infrastructure, the government did all the work fast which helped control the second wave of the Kovid.
He said that about 90 percent of the health workers have taken the first dose of Kovid vaccine and this has ensured the safety of most doctors. In the meeting, PM Modi also discussed Mucoramycosis (Black Fungus). He said that doctors may need to put in extra effort to spread awareness about mucoramycosis.
