NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced class 10 results on Tuesday.

“The results have been announced at 12 noon today,” a senior official said.

The board exams were cancelled this year in view of the aggressive second wave of COVID-19.

Over 57,000 students score above 95 percent; over 2 lakh scorers between 90 and 95 percent. The result is still under process for over 16,000 students. No merit list will be declared this year.

The result has been announced on the basis of an alternate assessment policy.

The CBSE also announced on its Twitter handle that the results could be accessed on the website cbseresults.nic.in.

According to the policy, while 20 marks for each subject were for internal assessment as every year, 80 marks were calculated on basis of the students’ performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.

The Delhi High Court had granted time to the Central Board of Secondary Education to respond to a plea concerning the methodology of assessment of private class 10 students after the examination were cancelled.
