The Indian Air Force is playing a role of a troubleshooter for the coronavirus epidemic in India. On Saturday, an Indian Air Force official informed that 42 transport aircraft have been deployed in the Kovid relief work. The government enlisted the help of the army amid shortage of oxygen and essential medicines in the country. The Kovid relief work of the Indian Air Force is in progress. Air Vice Marshal M Ranade has informed about the work of the Air Force on Saturday. According to news agency ANI, they told that ‘Indian Air Force has deployed 42 transport aircraft including 12 heavy and 30 medium lift aircraft for Kovid relief work’. The official said, ‘They are being used to bring relief measures, personnel and materials from abroad.
To meet the shortage of medical facilities in India, the forces are accelerating efforts. According to the language, recently the Navy has deployed nine of its warships to bring liquid oxygen and other medical supplies from the Persian Gulf and South-East Asian countries. Navy spokesman Commander Vivek Madhwal said, “To meet the demand of oxygen in the country, nine warships have been deployed under the Samudra Setu-2 campaign under various efforts by the Government of India and the Navy.”
