Zero Coal Leakage Plan Ordered to Curb Unauthorised Transport

Minister Shah praised the steps taken so far but stressed that further action is essential. He directed the creation of a ‘Zero Coal Leakage Plan’ to ensure swift, time‑bound action against illegal mining and unauthorised coal movement. He highlighted that while CISF and Coal India have statutory authority, they must apply it strictly in line with the approved Standard Operating Procedures. Regular monitoring of the plan was also mandated.
