In a significant boost to India’s traditional medicine ecosystem, the AYUSH Export Promotion Council (AYUSHExcil) is teaming up with quick-commerce giant Zepto Limited via an MoU to be signed tomorrow in New Delhi. Facilitated by the Ministry of AYUSH, this alliance will establish a structured digital infrastructure for promoting genuine AYUSH remedies and wellness items through trusted online platforms.
The event, chaired by AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav and attended by Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, will see signatures from AYUSHExcil’s Anurag Sharma and Zepto’s Kaivalya Vohra. By merging age-old Indian healing practices with contemporary rapid delivery systems, the partnership promises to amplify the AYUSH industry’s online presence, build stronger consumer confidence, and expand market penetration.
Standout features encompass a bespoke AYUSH section on Zepto, prioritizing products adhering to the AYUSH Quality Mark for uncompromised quality. The council will scout and onboard deserving MSME producers into the digital space. Together, they will roll out awareness drives highlighting product genuineness and safe usage guidelines. Moreover, validated educational resources on AYUSH methodologies will enrich Zepto’s offerings, educating users effectively.
For AYUSH businesses, this opens doors to the explosive growth of digital commerce in India, while guaranteeing buyers access to dependable, high-standard goods. The collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to elevating AYUSH on the world stage, in sync with Digital India, business facilitation reforms, and domestic manufacturing drives, paving the way for sustainable sector expansion.
