Youth Ride Through Doda Carrying the National Flag Ahead of August 15

A fleet of motorcycles and electric autos bearing the Indian tricolour rolled through Doda on August 11, marking a vibrant pre‑Independence Day celebration. Deputy Commissioner Krishna Lal gave the rally his official endorsement, allowing the procession to traverse the town’s main arteries.

The ride, organized under the "Har Ghar Tiranga" umbrella, seeks to spread a sense of national pride and remind residents of the flag’s representation of unity, integrity and freedom. Participants were urged to convey the message of responsible citizenship to onlookers.

Krishna Lal briefed reporters that all relevant departments – from schools to police – have completed most of their preparatory work. The focus now lies on finalising cultural performances, security measures and the role of students in the upcoming Independence Day events.

Officials expect the rally to energise the community, especially the youth, and to foster a deeper understanding of the significance of August 15 as a day of collective responsibility and celebration.
