Earlier Incident: Youth Rescued from Ravine in Rudraprayag District

A separate rescue operation earlier this month involved a 25‑year‑old resident of Badasu village, Mohit Ravat, who fell into a deep ravine near the Kedarnath pilgrimage route, about two kilometres above Gaurikund. The fall was reported via the 112 emergency line. SDRF, DDRF and other rescue teams braved darkness and difficult terrain to reach the injured youth. After a strenuous effort they extracted him safely. Ravat sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The exact cause of his fall remains under investigation.
