Youth Brigade Caught Stealing Phones and Vehicles in Noida, Police Recover Loot

Noida’s police force has arrested two members of a youth‑driven gang responsible for a string of mobile phone snatching and vehicle thefts across the city. The arrests were made after a thorough local intelligence sweep by the Sector‑63 police station.

The recovered loot comprised thirteen smart phones, a motorbike reported stolen from the local area, a sum of 2,000 rupees in cash and an unlawful knife. All items have been documented as evidence.

During interrogation, the suspects described a pattern of approaching unsuspecting pedestrians, swiftly snatching their phones and later selling the devices to middlemen for a fraction of the market price. They also targeted parked cars in deserted spots, breaking windows to loot electronics and other valuables kept inside.

The two accused, identified as Dhairaj Manjhi (≈20 years) and Shiva Chauhan (≈19 years), were residing in the Chotpur colony of Sector‑63 at the time. A juvenile accomplice was also taken into protective custody pending further questioning.

Both men have prior criminal records, according to police data, and are now facing multiple charges related to theft, possession of an illegal weapon and criminal conspiracy. The investigation continues as authorities work to locate the owners of the seized phones and the stolen motorcycle.
