Young Offenders Caught After Stolen Scooters Linked to Multiple Thefts
The anti‑auto theft unit in Northeast Delhi announced the capture of two teenage thieves on July 2. The operation, guided by an informant's warning, saw officers lay a trap near Shastri Marg, Mojupar.
Aman, also known as Komma, and Jishan, alias Jishu, were arrested while riding a scooter reported stolen from Seemapuri. They confessed to a series of thefts involving two‑wheelers across the region. Subsequent investigations led to the seizure of two additional scooters that had been taken from Bhajanpura and Dayalpur.
All three recovered scooters have been handed over to the police station. The youngsters, who have no previous criminal history, are now facing charges under the theft provisions, while investigators continue to explore their possible involvement in other vehicle robbery incidents.
