Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath stormed into West Bengal’s election fray with a blistering attack on TMC’s reign of terror during a massive rally in Sonamukhi, Bankura. ‘TMC and Left goons’ brutality ends only with BJP rule,’ he proclaimed to roaring applause.
Detailing the violence, Yogi highlighted BJP workers’ plight: Suman gunned down, houses of Swaroop Ghosh, Palash Ghosh, Utpal Das demolished, Susobhan maimed. ‘Bengal bleeds under TMC’s mayhem,’ he charged. Calling for a ‘double-engine’ setup mirroring the center, Yogi vowed, ‘BJP alone can treat these criminals.’
In a crowd-pleasing twist, he declared in Bengali flavor: ‘Khela over, BJP win means development dawn.’ Endorsing local hopefuls—Dibakar Gharami, Nirmal Dhara, Bileshwar Sinha—he urged victory. Slamming Mamata’s hush on Bangladesh Hindu killing, Yogi exposed ‘vote-bank barons’ plotting demographic shifts and festival disruptions.
Evoking Bengal’s golden past, Yogi honored freedom fighters and spiritual giants: Tagore’s anthems, Bankim’s Vande Mataram igniting unity, Khudiram’s sacrifice, Netaji’s call for blood, Vivekananda’s proud Hindu ethos. ‘This cradle of culture, industry, and nationalism is reduced to anarchy by decades of misrule—from Congress to Left to TMC plunder.’
Yogi contrasted Bengal’s disorder with UP’s renaissance: ‘Nine years ago, UP mirrored Bengal’s riots, mafia dominance. Modi’s call birthed double-engine governance—now, no appeasement, only equity and growth.’ He rallied Bengal to reclaim its stature, bidding farewell with renewed hope for transformation.
