Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has gifted Agra a vision of prosperity, declaring Greater Agra as the emerging ‘second Noida’ set to attract giant companies and unlock vast job prospects. At a mega development event in Rehn Kalan near the Inner Ring Road, he rolled out 325 projects totaling Rs 6,466 crore through inaugurations and foundation layings.
The highlight was the bhoomi pujan for Greater Agra township, a strategic urban expansion to redefine the city’s growth. Yogi stressed its smart infrastructure paired with top-notch security, evolving Agra from a tourist gem into a thriving economic nerve center. Major firms will flock here, creating employment waves for young aspirants, he assured.
Backed by the ‘New Cities Incentive Scheme,’ ADA’s Rs 5,142 crore venture spans 449.65 hectares in Raipur-Rehn Kalan. RERA-cleared, it features sectors honoring sacred rivers – Ganga to Godavari – with high-rises, group homes, plots, wide roads, sanitation, parks, and facilities for 10,000+ families. This fusion of spirituality and modernity promises a unique lifestyle.
Battling poor weather that rerouted him via Mathura-Vrindavan and grounded him at Agra airport until 3:30 PM, Yogi marveled at the enthusiastic crowds. Gratitude poured for Agra’s electoral loyalty yielding landmarks like the Metro. These 325 projects fortify basics, tourism, homes, and links.
Future blueprints include Agra Airport’s swift upgrade to a new terminal by December, Fatehpur Sikri enhancements, and rubber dams pending DPR. Amid worldwide crises – conflicts fueling inflation, US fuel costs soaring fourfold, Pakistan in ruins – India’s Modi-led progress shines, with tax cuts taming price rises and global influence growing.
Yogi touted Article 370’s removal as terrorism’s death knell, Naxal wipeout, mafia eradication via double-engine darbar, and cultural revivals in Ayodhya trio. Calling for Sanatan unity, he vowed quick returns for Shivaji memorials, museum, and Metro Phase 2 launch.
