Yogi Adityanath Honors Diwali in Vanatangia, Highlights Rural Progress
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spent the Diwali holiday on 8 November in the remote Vanatangia village of Gorakhpur, sharing the occasion with locals and unveiling several crore‑rupee development schemes. The chief minister illuminated oil lamps alongside villagers, exchanged greetings and pledged continued government support for the area’s growth.
Yogi’s itinerary included a meeting with Ganesh Mukhiya, the village head, and his daughter Mamta Gaud. The community members expressed gratitude, noting that the settlement has transitioned from severe deprivation—lacking basic amenities and voter registration—to a fully serviced hamlet with roads, electricity, water supply, schools, health facilities and access to welfare schemes.
The chief minister also recounted his earlier outreach to Nishaad and Dalit colonies, where he spent time with sanitation workers and handed out Diwali presents. He praised the recent Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya and emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed substantial development and good governance in the last ten years. Yogi concluded by extending sincere Diwali wishes to the state’s citizens, hoping the festival’s illumination brings lasting prosperity to every family, especially those living in poverty.
