Yogendra Upadhyay Announces Steps Towards Quality, Job‑Ready Courses in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow, 18 Oct – Uttar Pradesh’s Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay handed over a Letter of Intent to the Om Shri Sain Shiksha Samiti, paving the way for Sain Global University in Aligarh. The LOI was issued after the department secured approval from the competent authority under Section 6 of the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019.
The minister emphasized that the state is keen on linking higher‑education outcomes with job creation. By inviting private entities to set up institutions, the government intends to provide world‑class, employment‑oriented education near students’ home districts.
The sponsor must comply with a set of mandatory conditions within the next two years and subsequently file a compliance report. Satisfying these criteria will trigger the next stage of university establishment, adhering to all statutory provisions.
The initiative is projected to enhance the availability of professional courses in Aligarh, offering students a broader spectrum of academic options while supporting the government’s broader goal of building a resilient, skill‑focused education system.
