Yadav Calls for Unified Stand Against Illegal Liquor After Hospital Visits in Sagarmatha

Mohan Yadav, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, landed in Sagarmatha district on September 9 following his return from the United Arab Emirates. He spent several hours at the district hospital meeting patients who were seriously ill after ingesting spiked alcoholic beverages.

The CM stressed the urgency of providing advanced medical treatment, ordering that hospitals be equipped with necessary antidotes and intensive‑care facilities. In a separate session with district officers and local legislators, Yadav granted the administration unrestricted powers to identify, charge, and prosecute every individual linked to the illegal liquor network.

He appealed to political opponents, especially leaders of the Congress, to forgo any partisan maneuvering and join forces with the ruling government. Yadav also highlighted ongoing collaborations with religious and community organisations to launch a statewide anti‑alcohol campaign, aiming to protect vulnerable families from similar tragedies.
