The findings showed that migrants from Saudi Arabia held significantly more rigid attitudes toward physical violence against women compared with non‑migrants. Conversely, returnees from other Gulf nations displayed a reverse pattern. Researchers clarified that the data establish correlation, not causation, and highlighted that financial gains from Gulf employment are only one dimension of the migration experience.
