BJP Rajya Sabha member Dharmshila Gupta fired back at RJD leader Rabri Devi’s allegations on Bihar’s law and order, declaring that the state under NDA rule is a haven for women’s safety. In an interview with IANS from New Delhi on February 22, Gupta labeled Rabri’s statement as baseless and misleading.
The controversy stems from the shocking NEET student case that has sparked nationwide outrage. Gupta assured that justice is imminent, with CBI’s thorough investigation underway. ‘Every girl in Bihar is our responsibility, and the government stands firm in safeguarding them,’ she affirmed.
Recalling the chaotic ‘jungle raj’ during RJD’s tenure, Gupta praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s administration for transformative reforms in policing and women’s protection. Rabri’s critique, she argued, ignores these strides and reeks of political opportunism.
Gupta also took aim at Youth Congress activists for their disruptive antics at Delhi’s prestigious AI Summit. Amidst world leaders discussing artificial intelligence’s future, such protests were a blatant assault on India’s reputation, she opined. Drawing a parallel, she lauded Sonia Gandhi’s dignified conduct, suggesting Congress youth learn from her example.
This episode, according to Gupta, exposes Congress’s crumbling stature and malicious intent to undermine India internationally. As Bihar gears up for future electoral battles, her words signal BJP’s aggressive defense of its governance record.
