Eligibility and Benefits for Women Officers in NCC Special Entry Scheme

Under the NCC Special Entry Scheme 125 (April 2027), the Indian Army is inviting unmarried women to apply for Short Service Commission (Non‑Technical) posts. The call includes five open vacancies for general candidates and one reserved seat for the families of soldiers who lost their lives in action.

The application window opened at 3 PM on 21 July and will close at 3 PM on 21 August. Interested women must complete their registration on the army’s official website before the deadline.

To qualify, candidates need a graduation degree from an accredited institution and must have secured at least a ‘B’ grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate examination. The permissible age range is 19 to 25 years, with the reference date being 1 January 2027.

The selection process consists of document verification, SSB interview, medical fitness test and final ranking. Successful applicants will earn a stipend of ₹56,100 per month during the training phase, plus other allowances.

Training will be carried out at the Officer Training Academy in Chennai for a duration of 49 weeks starting April 2027. On completion, officers will be commissioned as Lieutenants with a CTG salary between ₹17 lakh and ₹18 lakh per year, together with additional benefits.
