West Bengal Leader Says She’ll Stay Active to Push BJP Out

Mamata Banerjee told supporters that she will not step away from public life and will keep fighting until the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is compelled to retire. She noted that within four months of the new administration taking charge, residents of West Bengal have already recognized the BJP's genuine agenda. Banerjee accused the ongoing census of being a secret strategy to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) without party consultation, and urged citizens to be vigilant before signing any form. She also pointed to recent demonstrations by women over alleged slow disbursement of monthly grants under the "Annapurna Bhandar" scheme, claiming the BJP is lowering beneficiary numbers by invoking false ineligibility. Banerjee reiterated her commitment to the "Lakshmi Bhandar" initiative, designed to make women self‑reliant, and accused the government of breaching its election promises.
