Vishnu Gupta Demands FIR Against Kharge for Derogatory Comments
A fresh controversy has erupted after Vishnu Gupta, national president of Hindu Sena, filed a complaint with the Delhi Police against Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. The complaint follows Kharge's remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late father, which Gupta described as offensive and unacceptable.
Gupta has asked the Delhi Police Commissioner to register an FIR against Kharge without delay. He said the complaint was necessary to ensure that action is taken against what he termed a serious insult to the constitutional office of the Prime Minister.
According to the complaint, Kharge made highly personal and abusive comments about Modi and his family during a public programme. The complainant pointed specifically to the expression "Modi ka baap", arguing that such language has no place in public life.
Gupta said that the remarks have hurt the feelings of crores of citizens and may also lead to a breakdown of public harmony. He emphasised that the law applies equally to every individual, including senior political leaders.
He concluded by urging the authorities to act strictly against Kharge under the relevant legal provisions. The complaint is now before the Delhi Police.
