Visa and Exit Guidance for Indians Stuck in Saudi Arabia

The embassy clarified visa rules for Indians who find themselves unable to leave Saudi Arabia because of the flight shutdown. Travelers on tourist, Umrah, business or visit visas who are forced to extend their stay beyond the original validity will be permitted to exit the kingdom without penalty, provided they obtain the necessary clearance. Those whose visas have already expired are urged to depart as soon as flights become available. The mission also reminded Indian nationals to secure a valid visa if they consider traveling to neighboring Gulf states such as Qatar or Bahrain for evacuation, and to comply with the entry requirements of the transit country.
