Viral video leads to FIR and arrests in Jamui town

A video circulating on social media triggered a rapid police response in Jamui town, Bihar, after it appeared to capture a minor girl being subjected to indecent conduct by several men. The clip, filmed near Madhwa village, shows a group stopping the girl on a road, with a boy on a motorcycle among them. The girl can be heard begging, "Baccha hain, jaane dijiye."

Jamui Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Dayal confirmed that the video helped locate the victim and record her statement, which placed the incident on the evening of September 19 at about 7 p.m. Six to seven people are visible in the footage; investigators have already identified a few of them.

Following the filing of a First Information Report, three individuals have been taken into custody. Police are continuing to question the arrested suspects and are working to identify any additional participants. The investigation remains open, with authorities promising updates as more information becomes available.
