The father of the wounded showroom chief disclosed that a confrontation with a group of youths occurred near Khudnupuri Johad about five days before the stabbing. That earlier altercation was reportedly logged with the victim's name in the police report. On Sunday, the three accused – identified as Mano, Dheeraj and Harshit – arrived at the showroom, citing a settlement of the prior dispute and demanding Rs 15 lakh. When the chief declined to pay, one of them thrust a knife into his abdomen. Following the attack, the suspects fled, leaving the weapon behind. Police have now collected evidence from the scene, seized CCTV footage, and formed multiple squads to apprehend the attackers.
