During his official visit to the UAE, Shri Vikram Misri, India’s Foreign Secretary, was deeply moved by his visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The visit highlighted the strong relationship between India and the UAE, built on shared values. Misri was accompanied by senior officials and was greeted warmly. He was particularly impressed by the ‘The Fairy Tale’ audio-visual experience, and echoed the sentiments of Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, in calling the Mandir a ‘fairy tale’. Misri admired the architecture and spiritual elements, including the Tolerance Trees and the Harmony Dome. He offered prayers and paid homage to Pramukh Swami Maharaj, whose vision led to the mandir’s creation. Misri described the mandir as a global symbol of interfaith harmony and cultural dialogue, and a place every Indian should visit. He also offered prayers for the leaders of India and the UAE.
