Vigilance Team Expands Probe to Former VIMSR Officials in Sambalpur

Earlier on June 30, the same vigilance team conducted simultaneous raids on properties linked to two officials of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSR) in Sambalpur district. The officials, Dhanadhar Biswal, Establishment Officer‑C, and Ashwini Meher, Steward at the Superintendents’ office, were searched at four separate locations after a special judge issued a search warrant. The action follows accusations that they hold wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income. The raids again involved two Deputy Superintendents of Police, five inspectors, three assistant sub‑inspectors and other supporting staff.
