Victim Recovers After Identifying Fraudsters Behind Fake Loan Calls

Further inquiries led detectives to Arun Singh, a 23‑year‑old from Itawa, who was also arrested at his rented residence in Vaishali. Singh impersonated a bank executive, claiming to be a loan officer from Yes Bank. He approached the victim under the guise of facilitating a loan and convinced him to transfer money to a fabricated account.

An ATM card linked to Singh's name was recovered, containing roughly Rs 70,000 deposited from the fraudulent transaction. Two additional mobile phones and two SIM cards were also confiscated. The devices held a list of customer details and phone numbers, prompting investigators to examine whether other loan applicants were targeted.
