Veteran Saint Highlights 32-Year Amarnath Tradition and New Facilities

A monk who has participated in the Amarnath pilgrimage for the past 32 consecutive years shared his observations on the enhanced arrangements this year.

He said, "The government has again gone the extra mile for travelers, especially the elderly and differently‑abled. The upgraded shelters, medical aid points, and wheelchair‑friendly routes have made the trek far more manageable."

He added that such consistent improvements reinforce the age‑old tradition of the pilgrimage, ensuring that devotion can be expressed without undue hardship.
