Verma Highlights BJP Train Blockade and Security Clampdown in Delhi
Ashutosh Verma, a senior figure in the Samajwadi Party, addressed the media on October 10, pointing out the BJP government’s aggressive measures in Delhi. He said more than fifty thousand security personnel have been deployed, effectively “locking” the capital, and that numerous train services have been suspended.
Verma interpreted these actions as evidence of the ruling party’s fear of impending political change. He argued that such heavy‑handed tactics indicate the beginning of the BJP’s political exit, stating, “The script for the party’s departure has already been written.”
The leader also reiterated that the SP has not challenged CM Yogi Adityanath, stressing that the party’s focus remains on addressing alleged electoral irregularities, including the use of the pseudonym Gyanesh Kumar as a cover for manipulations.
