State Leaders to Verify Social Media Rumors of PLA Intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh

In response to circulating rumors about a Chinese military incursion, Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced that his office will conduct an independent verification. He said local inhabitants have been called in to share any observations, and the findings will be cross‑checked with the Indian Army's intelligence.

The chief minister's comments came after several posts on digital platforms suggested that the PLA had entered Arunachal Pradesh and established makeshift camps. Both the state Home Minister and the national defence establishment have previously labeled such narratives as speculative and lacking concrete proof.
