The departure of suspended RPSC member Babulal Katara has left the commission with four open posts. Katara was arrested by the Special Operations Group in April 2023 over the senior teacher paper‑leak scandal and later linked to a police sub‑inspector recruitment paper leak.
Since June, the commission has been without a permanent chairperson. The current roster includes professors Ayub Khan, Hemant Priyadarshi, Deepak Sharma, Sushil Bisu and Santosh Anand, all of whom now face increased workload amid lingering recruitment delays.
